I hope everyone has been having fun on Happy Pet Story lately! I have been playing and tried to get up a post for the Sakura event but it just came and went so quickly that with that, some medical issues, and Easter it just wasn't possible. I hope you got every item you wanted!
Anyway, it's almost April and that means April Fools in Happy Pet Story! Happy Labs is celebrating the holiday with costumes and furniture that celebrate the classic court jester and the wily fox, a trickster found in a lot of Chinese and Japanese folklore.

Sneak Preview: Springtime Event

Ahhh, the preview for the new event is up on the Happy Labs blog, and while there's only one set of furniture, it's FABULOUS!

Check out these gorgeous costumes! They're both so cute, and how lovely is that handheld flower? You could wear it with all sorts of outfits! I'm also interested in seeing how wigs work with these headpieces.

Really, isn't it all about the furniture? I hope so because this is one set I just LOVE. The left side especially has my favorite items from this set with all the cute outdoors items and all the sweet animals. And that pond! It's terrific!

White Day Items

Before this holiday on Happy Pet Story, I didn't know anything about the different sweetheart days, but it turns out that in Japan, Korea, China, and Taiwan, Valentine's day is VERY different than North America where I'm from.

 

It works like this: on Valentine's Day women give the men in their lives gifts. It might be for their boyfriends/crushes/husbands, but it might also be people to whom there's a social expectation that they treat. Then, a month later comes White Day, a chance for the men to reciprocate with gifts like white chocolate, marshmallows, and other sweets.

Can I just say that one of my favorite things about Happy Pet Story is the chance to learn more about other cultures through ridiculously cute furniture and outfits? I love it!

Upcoming Event: Pisces

Did you see the new post up on the Notice Board for the next event?

It's the Pisces horoscope set! Just like Aquarius and Capricorn before it, the Pisces event will feature a themed statue and boy and girl outfits. Thankfully, Happy Labs has given us a sneak peek of the gorgeous items coming up!

Little boy and girl googly-eyed fish and a snazzy scepter! I think the boy helmet is my favorite, just look at that goofy face!

 

How gorgeous is this Pisces statue? I've been thinking about how to display my statues as I collect them and I'm leaning toward displaying them in an underwater setting like these sunken beauties and this month's statue would be especially perfect.

WIWT - Doll's Day!

Happy Hinamatsuri, Happy Pet Pals! Hoping everyone's having luck finding whatever items they want from the special event, celebrating the girls in their life, and eating cute food!

This is a quick post as life is a little nuts right now, but I wanted to show off my holiday style.

I couldn't justify splashing out the huge stack of diamonds for the special event kimono but I wanted to get in style so I used the New Year's kimono and this event's accessories, as well as one of my very very favorite wigs. Hope the asymmetrical hairdo looks good with the super-centred hair piece! What do you think?
